International Student Projects Invitation Exhibition


A.    Background

  • Landscape Student Thesis Design Exhibition is an annual event dedicated to landscape architecture graduates across Taiwan. With over one-year of preparation, students will present their graduation projects in the exhibition before graduation in May.
  • 2023 marks the ninth year of the Landscape Student Thesis Design Exhibition. To facilitate international exchanges and expand students' global vision, a section to recognize international students' work is added.
  • We look forward to discovering landscape projects from different regions with diverse cultures and a variety of landscape topics to enhance the depth and breadth of the exhibition.
  • We sincerely invite students to participate in the exhibition.


B.    PARTICIPANTS

1.  Junior, senior or graduate students from landscape architecture or related disciplines

2.  Maximum entries from each school to be 3 to 5 projects


C.    FORM

1.  Physical exhibition

2.  Virtual exhibition presented on the website of Landscape Student Thesis

TILA will cover expenses of printing and layout design for physical exhibition, participation fees are not required.


D.   AWARD

Please refer to the brief introduction of incentives. 

All participants will receive

1.  Participation certificate (E-Certificates will be distributed to all participants via email after the event.)

2.  Exhibition photos (TILA will provide the event link.)

3.  A booklet comprising of 11 entries selected from international and Taiwanese students. (TILA will provide the e-file link and mail hard copies to selected schools.)


E.    SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1.    All submissions must be in English.

2.    Please submit the following documents:

(1)   Online application form 

(2)   Declaration Form (Appendix 1.)

(3)   One design panel, size A0 or Arch E in portrait format, PDF file and JPG file.

  • Panel must include project title, university name, name of the author and instructor.
  • Poster (pdf ) must have a 300dpi resolution and the maximum size of the file should be 200MB.

(4)   Project introduction video (1 to 3 minutes)

  • Please provide an mp4 file with English subtitles.  
  • Team introduction and work design description are recommended to include in the video, which will be played at the exhibition site.


F.    SUBMISSION

1.  Time: Now to April 30th , 2023

2.  Please fill in the online application form.

3.  All registration documents and projects should be uploaded to the cloud with marked file names. Please include the cloud link in the online application form. Submitted file should include the following:

(1)  Declaration Form

(2)  One design panel, size A0 or Arch E in portrait format, PDF file and JPG file.

(3)   Project introduction video (mp4 file)

  • Please provide an mp4 file with English subtitles.
  • Team introduction and work design description are recommended to include in the video, which will be played at the exhibition site.

G.   NOTES

1.  Entrants should unconditionally accept exhibition rules.

2.  Entries will not be returned to the authors, please remember to back up your file.

3.  Entrants must ensure that all images, photographs and other materials are identified as to their source. Source of the information doesn’t count as word count.

4.  Entrants' submissions may be exhibited in digital or paper form at the exhibition, on the official website of TILA, or elsewhere after the exhibition, at the discretion of TILA.

5.  TILA reserves the right to reproduce and publish any or all of the materials submitted to the exhibition without any obligation on the part of the entrant other than to acknowledge copyright in the work exhibited or published.
